Agitated Atmosphere Aaron Martin & Justin Wright

As major labels continue to exist behind the times, artists and labels with little capital and lesser reputations are producing some of the most innovative, interesting Nike Air Presto, and inspiring music. Whether it’s creating a new niche in digital technology or looking to once obsolete formats, Agitated Atmosphere hopes to pull back the curtain on a wealth of sights and sound from luminaries such as Aaron Martin & Justin Wright.

Justin Wright is no stranger to the pages of Agitated Atmosphere. As Expo 70, his blistering experiments on electric guitar are the jagged blades carving into the meaty flesh of old rock and roll extravagance. Teamed with Aaron Martin, a multi-instrumentalist whose work has given new life to traditional sounds (banjo, ukulele, piano, and flute to name but a few); Wright’s bittersweet notes take on a new life.

Light Poured Out of Our Bones is the glued and stapled pieces of Martin & Wright’s collaboration. Released as part of Preservation’s Circa series, the meditative wonders of Light Poured Out of Our Bones bridges the gap between sonic bliss and hellish freak of nature.

“Brush Fire” is but a smattering of the civilized chaos that inhabits Martin & Wright’s work. A vicious guitar melody intermingles with dreamy droplets from a second guitar air max nike, showcasing the twosome’s split personalities. It is the album’s title track Coach Crossbody Bags, as well as follow-up “Moon Smoke,” where the duo begins to scrape at the layers, forcing disparate noise into cohesive units of measure. The misty tranquility is slowly devoured by the static; the faint sun burnt out and replaced with angry hisses of halogen. The shuffle of early risers gives way to the rattle of vamps, eager to quench their dark thirst under the burning rays of neon.

Listen to “Sleep Threaded into Ashes”:

Yet “Sleep Threaded into Ashes” comes out of nowhere. An extraterrestrial funeral; the phantom of the opera stranded aboard Sputnik. Solar flares disrupting the peace of those buried in stars, becoming zombies to the beckoning call of Xenu’s pipes. It’s a step outside the comfort zone of Martin & Wright and despite the B-movie cheese, “Sleep Threaded into Ashes” also thrives because of it. No one dared challenged the frightening visage of Vincent Price despite his rendezvous with camp; so shall no one deny the compatibility of Aaron Martin and Justin Wright.
